CONDOLENCE -----Angelo D`Souza (First violin}
MUSIC LOVERS SOCIETY`S GOA STRING ORCHESTRA
We mourn the sad demise of Angelo D`Souza who played First Violin with us.
We convey our deep sympathies to his bereaved Family.
ANGELO....We will miss you, Adieu!

Concert at Milagres Church Mapuca
G.S.O is performing at St.Jerome church Mapuca at 7.00 pm today.

G.S.O performed at Milagres Church before a big audience.
The Marble floor and high ceiling provided the much required "live-room" sound to
the instruments of the orchestra. This brief reflection of sound , known as `natural reverb'
came as a pleasant surprise to the performers and helped in enhancing their performance firstly as individuals , secondly as a whole group playing together.
Conductor Nauzer Daruwalla charmed the audience like always.
Fr. Miranda gave an introdutory speech and a brief talk during intermission.
Gorette Pinheiro led the string section from the first desk beautifully.
"RIGAUDON" {5} from the Holberg Suite was rendered expertly by the soloist-violist, Edgar Mendes and solo-violinist, Sancha M. Pereira, backed by G.S.O.
Thanks to all our supporters, friends of the orchestra, and the parish priest of ST.Jerome Mapuca and parishioners for making this concert a success.

G.S.O at Holy Spirit Church Margao on 3rd August 2008
The show was good. Starting at 6 pm I.s.t with the opening speech by President of Music lovers Society, Rev. Fr. Eufemiano Miranda, Conductor Dr. Nauzer Daruwalla conducted the G.S.O
before a packed Church comprising people from Margao and other places of Goa.
The beautiful church provided the the ambience required for classical music and thanks to the Parish priest, Rev. Fr. Ventura Lourenco for his kind permission.
Thanks also to The Cotta family, Dr. Carmo and Fernanda Gracias, Mr.Avdhoot Timblo, Mr. Francisco Lume Pereira, Kala Academy Goa, Mr. Eric Pinto (New York), Dr.Arcanjo Menezes,
Mr.&Mrs. Chekana. and all friends of the Orchestra.
